"This is a beautiful national trust owned country house hotel, with lovely comfortable rooms, gorgeous gardens, a fantastic restaurant, and wonderful staff, providing friendly & attentive service. It’s also really handy for the York city centre by taxi (around £10 each way with the Drive app) and, if you’re going for the races, the racecourse is actually walkable from the hotel.
