"The property could not really be better situated for access by walk or public transport to all attractions, shopping and eateries. The staff are pleasant and helpful though I did not have to call on them for anything. My room was well equipped, clean and well-serviced- though even with the radiators on, sometimes fell cold. The room was a little small , true bed being too close to the wardrobe preventing the doors being fully opened and making access awkward ( the safe is also in the wardrobe so...

"Stayed here for 3 nights and it was ideal for our main attractions. A short walk to the Rijksmuseum and also the Van Gogh. The walk to Anne Frank house was just over a kilometre as was our canal tour. It’s a great place to walk and discover and we found some nice restaurants but even in November it’s best to reserve a table at night as it’s not as easy as I imagined to just walk up. The hotel and our room was very spacious and we had breakfast also on our last morning. It was a very nice buffet...

"NH Caransa is located near Rembrandtplien, a busy area in Amsterdam. As a result, the tram traffic to the hotel is frequent, and the area is often noisey. Rooms at the front of the hotel are affected by the outdoor noise. It appears that the hotel is about 50 years old, yet the facilities seem to be in working order. The hotel lacks a lobby because the space has been rented to ground floor restaurants."
