  • Wildlife viewing is subject to climatic conditions and the wild nature of the animals. We cannot guarantee wildlife viewing while you are in the Amazon since it depends on the animals. During wet season chances of seeing animals greatly reduces as the river is high and animals tend to spread out among the pampas. Please also note that the chance of sighting snakes/anacondas is always about 50%.
  • This day to day itinerary is subject to change without prior notice according to climatic and river conditions.
  • Bring enough cash with you before leaving La Paz since ATMs in Rurrenabaque are not reliable.
  • Recommendation on what to bring: Clothing suitable for humid/tropical weather & for trekking through bushes & travelling by canoe, Long sleeved cotton shirts (for sun and mosquitoes), Shorts & Cotton pants, Hiking boots, Trainers (rubber shoes for boat trips), Light windbreaker, Swimming suit, Hat or cap, Camera, Pocket knife, Sun glasses, Torch with batteries, Binoculars, Backpack, Towel, Insect Repellent (90-100% DEET), Vitamin “B” to repel mosquitoes, Copy of vaccination record for yellow fever and tetanus (Malaria is not present), Imodium or other over the counter diarrhea medicine.
  • Please note this is an independent tour, which means you'll enjoy the flexibility of being on your own for most of the trip and will only have a guide for certain experiences along the way.

Day 1: Flight from La Paz to Rurrenabaque

Duration: 5 Days Departure Time: Depending on the flight time Airport Transfer At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport to take your flight to Rurrenabaque. Settle into your accommodation and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 2: Rurrenabaque / Pampas (B/L/D)

  • Accommodation: Overnight in Pampas Eco-Lodge

At the designed time, pick up from the hotel and transfer by car with A/C to Santa Rosa. Leaving at this time we have great opportunities to see sloths, anteaters, birds, and other animals along the road. Hrs. 11:30 we will take a boat for 15 minutes to our eco-lodge, “TheTurtles” where you will be welcome with a cold juice of fruit of the season and we will have lunch. Hrs. 14:30 we will go for a boat trip and look for the pink dolphins. During the boat trip you will be able to see birds, turtles, alligators, and other animals.
Day 3: Pampas (B/L/D)

Early morning, at 06:00 hrs, we will wake up listening to the sounds of nature while we receive the first light of the sun. After breakfast, we will take the boat along the Yacuma River, again looking for the squirrel monkeys, howler monkey, capuchin monkey, many birds, etc. We will return to the eco lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, we will be able to fish piranhas. At 20:00hrs, we can go for a short walk around the lodge looking for nocturnal animals.
Day 4: Pampas, Bolivia (B/L)

  • Accommodation: Overnight in Pampas Eco-Lodge

Today at 9AM we will take a short walk in the Pampas to look for the impressive anaconda (depending on the season). After lunch, we will return to Rurrenabaque and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the afternoon is free.
Day 5: Flight back from Rurrenabaque to La Paz (B)
