We will leave from the south zone of Rio de Janeiro in a car or van. Along the way, we will explain the history and curiosities of the municipal market. We head towards the northern part of the city, in Benfica area, an area that is not very popular with tourists, but is often visited by locals who come in search of delicious delicacies and spices to cook with. Upon arrival, we will walk through the corridors where we will explain details about the fruits, savoury and sweet dishes of Brazilian and Portuguese cuisine (many of the workers there are from Portuguese families).
At the end you will have a general idea of Brazilian gastronomic culture and feel like a true carioca (a person born in the city of Rio de Janeiro)
