There are crosswalks at 18th, 20th and 23rd Street. When standing on the west side highway facing the river (facing west), go around the north side of the large blue building. The ticket booth is located on the walkway just steps from the dock at Pier 62.

The 2.75-hour circumnavigation also includes Upper West Side, George Washington Bridge, South Street Seaport, Roosevelt Island, the United Nations Building, and the Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges on the East River.
