In the afternoon, we begin our exploration of the jungle with an introductory walk, offering us the opportunity to marvel at the Amazon's rich biodiversity. As evening falls, our exploration continues with a nocturnal adventure along the jungle trails, in search of nighttime wildlife including insects, birds, snakes, mammals, frogs, and more.

With a bit of luck, we may even spot a jaguar (Panthera Onca). Upon reaching the Chuncho macaw clay lick, we'll find a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast while witnessing a spectacular natural display: a large congregation of macaws, parrots, and parakeets. With favourable weather, we'll be treated to the sight of hundreds of these magnificent birds in their vibrant activity. Following our visit, we'll return to our lodge. Later, we'll partake in an artisanal balsa rafting activity on the river. In the afternoon, we'll visit a 47-meter-high observation tower, offering panoramic views of the horizon enveloped by an endless canopy of treetops. An optional activity is available at night for those interested.

While the likelihood of spotting these creatures stands at around 30%, the journey itself is rewarding. We'll return to the lodge for lunch. Our journey then takes us back to Puerto Maldonado city. Upon arrival at our office, we continue our adventure towards Sandoval Lake. We proceed to the port, where we board a motorised boat on the Madre de Dios River for approximately 30 minutes. A pleasant 3 km (2 miles) walk of about 45 minutes awaits us, during which we may encounter a diverse array of birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.
