Experience Milford Sound at its most serene on this early morning kayaking trip. Beat the crowds and enjoy kayaking in the typically settled morning conditions of this world famous fiord. The trip includes a short scenic cruise past iconic Mitre Peak and Bowen Falls to the Milford Sound Underwater Observatory. Here you’ll enjoy up to one hour of kayaking around spectacular Harrison Cove, entry to the Milford Sound Underwater Observatory and a freshly-prepared picnic lunch. Our kayaking trips are led by specialist guides, all equipment is provided, and no previous kayaking experience is necessary. Our kayak lift lowers you into the water making it easy to get started! At the underwater observatory you’ll descend 10 metres beneath the water’s surface by spiral staircase to our viewing chamber. You’ll able to see rare black coral and colourful sea creatures in their natural habitat. Complimentary tea and coffee is provided on the boat. Return to the Milford Sound Visitor Terminal on the same scenic cruise route.
