On this 8-hour trip you’ll head out in the morning for a visit to Aspendos, one of the most important cultural and economic centers of Pamphylia. Every year thousands of people come to see the best well-preserved amphitheatre in Turkey, built in 155 with a capacity of 7,000 spectators.
Today the amphitheatre hosts 10,000 people and shows such as the annual Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival.
After lunch you’ll visit the ancient city of Side. The city is located on a peninsula and features ruins of a Roman amphitheatre, a columned road, temple to Dionysus, and to a museum in the former Turkish bath. Admire the Temple of Apollo, which is the most beautiful site in Side, situated by the sea on the ancient harbour.
On the way back to Alanya you’ll stop to visit the Manavgat Waterfalls. This is a place of exceptional natural beauty and fresh, clean air. You’ll see pine forests, waterfalls, and a river replete with trout and turtles.
