Purchasing on the app was easy and redeeming was easy at the booth. Fun way to see the city. Be sure to grab your earphones as you get on to hear the stories about the neighbourhoods of Sydney.

The bus portion was as expected as we have used this service in other countries. However the up grade for the captain cook boat portion was terrible…. The route of back and forth to the same ports 3 times before even completing one lap of the scheduled ports was awful, EXTREMELY TIME WASTING and soooo unnecessary! The Wi-Fi would not connect to listen to the information of the area and as it was there is no place to plug in headphones, we did not have our own even if it did work. We found it distracting listening to other riders phones on speaker (no head phones) loudly playing in other languages. We asked info of the crew why we were just going back/forth and he would explain after they started moving again! I said I want off here if we are just going back/forth. He then said yes they would now do the full route and understood the times and instructions were unclear and said to give the review. Ppl paid $8 on the boat and we paid way more! Would not recommend this portion of HOHO.

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The map guide is easy to use. The commentary with headphones is informative and the open air bus was comfortable and fun. Highly recommended as your way of touring the city.

I had used the HOHO bus in other cities. The familiar bus, service personnel, made it easy to join. This time though, I had trouble locating a stop. The app helps but it does not have real time location/next bus arrive at feature which will be more helpful.

It rained and water everywhere dripping from areas of the bus. Otherwise, I would take the bus again in nature weather. The audio was great.

The recording was out of sync for part of the ride and due to protests, a couple of stops were missed. The missed stops were not under control of the company, but I’m sad to have missed the stops. I still enjoy the overview and sites seen on the Big Bus tours.

We were short on time, so using the bus to see the main attractions quickly suited us. The risk of being hit by overhanging trees on the Blue Route whilst sitting upstairs was real!

Best option to see it all. Grab the red line first thing in the am to see the Opera House. Then hop back on, transfer to the blue line to Bondi Beach for lunch and coast walk. Perfect day.

We loved the experience! We were confused at one stop whether it was the blue bus or red bus, the Big Bus employee at the stop wasn't very helpful, but the mistake was ours. Luckily I noticed right away and asked the driver if we could just quickly get off while stopped at an intersection. We did, and walked the half block to the next red line stop. The rest of our ride was great!
