" Lola's is centrally located & accessible to major bus stations, train, shopping, museums, eating & night life. The staff treats you like family, answers questions instantly. The security here in my opinion is the best in town. I even witnessed the host bring lunch for a guest that had no food upon arrival. I feel at home staying at Lolas, this is definitely my go to place in beautiful San Jose. Thank you!!"

"Check in is a 3pm and I got there waaay before that but Jorge (the front desk person) had the room ready in like an hour so I can check in. I traveled by myself and this place was enough for me, just what I needed. Affordable and just a few minutes walk from restaurants, park, market and bars. The room had a fridge a microwave, a sink and TV. Only thing it didn’t have was a coffee machine, I drink a lot of coffee but it really wasn’t a big deal, its Costa Rica you find coffee everywhere;) also...

"The owner and the staff are awesome. The room is excellent for what you pay. But the building is old and not renovated. The hotel is very secure. It has air conditioning and room cleaning every day. "The hotel is fabulous. Spacious room, very clean, top notch staff from the concierge to the valet to the housekeeping to the waitstaff. They certainly take the time and make the effort to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast alone is worth staying there for! As with anything in San Jose it was difficult to locate, but once we did it was great having a location so close to the city center. "

"I had a delightful stay in early December. Although Air Canada was late arriving, the hotel taxi was there to meet me— and 2 gentlemen ere out on the sidewalk to welcome me. Fabian, desk manager, was hospitable and most helpful. Strangely the food servers were very distant. & cool. Breakfasts were delicious. English pub menu was dull— Spanish lunch menu was a hit with locals. Talented chefs."
