"Seven family members stayed at the RIU Palace Guanacaste. Three of us had birthdays and the rooms were updated and decorated. We had a Junior suite that was had alcohol dispensers, a fridge with drinks, a mini jacuzzi and king bed with a lovely veranda overlooking the pool and partial view of the ocean. "We loved our time in Costa Rica! Condovac La Costa has incredible views from the property. Javier Salas from Unique transfers and tours was incredible on site! The only thing that we didn't like was the food was almost the same everyday and the meats were tough. We ate out a lot."

"Overall nice property. Staff were friendly and helpful. Grounds were well kept. This is a hilly property, but they offer a very responsive shuttle service. Our room in bldg 14 offered a phenomenal view of the bay. We stayed at this resort about seven years ago. Not much has changed and some of the areas of the property are worn. That said all employees try hard to ensure a memorable stay. We would consider returning in the future. "

"Staff very friendly and helpful. The chef and team created delicious food that we really enjoyed. Bartenders friendly, provided good cocktails and some travel tips. Some of the property could use a freshen up (chipped tiles, sweep on bottom of door to room/bugs). Overall, we loved the location, layout, beach access. Value for the price. Thank you."

"The hotel is great but the location is not the best. There’s so much potential in the area but with trash not being cleaned up on the streets and beach it really hurts the area but I won’t take away from the hotel. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The drinks and menu items were very good and plentiful. "Stayed from January 12 til February 7 , 2025. Hotel was beyond expectations, staff was wonderful and helpful. Nice pool and great breakfast every morning:) Shopping for groceries across the street, short walk to beach, restaurants and shopping. Air conditioning was definitely a plus and worked great!! We would definitely stay there again:)"

"The only option available for us was a family style room. It was spacious in that there were two queen beds and a sitting area. Our patio was completely secluded due to the trees in front. The property itself is so beautifully landscaped. Your stress will melt away! The staff is friendly and accomodating. I asked for an iron and one was delivered promptly, though they weren't sure if there were any. It was away from the town area and anything you do away from there will cost a grip to get to....

"Unfortunately I did not have the best experience at this hotel. First night had to get the front desk to help me get rid of a HUGE spider & there were cockroaches in the hotel room. It hurt to shower because the pressure was so strong. The windows are bolted shut so it feels like you are a bit of a prisoner. Not the safest area.. I’m not sure why there are so many good reviews about playa Hermosa. I would recommend Taramindo and Flamingo "
