"Wonderful country house hotel in about 200 acres of stunning grounds. Lots of outdoorsy things to do. The sitting rooms are glorious with open fires and the staff are attentive and there are lots of little touches that make the hotel stand out. Hotel was in excellent order and well located. Car park next door was handy as £20 a day to park at your hotel is steep. Also paying £25 for a dog each day needs to be taken into account. "

"We arrived in the dark after a trip to Rosemoor Glow and there was very little signposting that we could see to reception and then to our room when we eventually hit checked in. Meal in the restaurant was excellent although service if drinks was slow and mains came literally as soon as last mouthful of starter taken and plates hadn’t been cleared. Lovely peaceful sleep and to wake up the next morning to see the place in dayslight was beautiful. Breakfast was average - service good . Went to use...

"Stay here when working in the area. It does everything well. The food is good, the rooms are good with comfy beds. The service in the restaurant is top class and overall very friendly. Definitely recommend rather than pay over inflated prices in nearby chain hotels."

My ‘BUT’ is the bed, in my words it was very below standard for an executive king room, their top room available, the mattress was in a very poor condition with a very noticeable dip that you keep rolling into if you are a side sleeper, I had a very disturbed night and was severely pissed off about it, staff stated they would report it, no mention of any compensation against a very expensive room, this annoyed me as well.
