"Our stay for my son's birthday was fantastic and the room was exceptional. It was great to be able to share the experience with my young grandchildren and for them to be very welcome. They especially enjoyed the pool. What we didn't like was the parking charges! The restaurants in the hotel were fully booked as we didn't prebook, so we went out for food. As we parked in the underground carpark we had to pay £13 to go out for food after only parking for 5 hours. We discovered the outside carpark...

"It is a great few days away in this fantastic city - the architecture and cultural vibe are fantastic. The hotel is conveniently located, and we had a bath and a shower, which was a bonus. The back stairs were a bit scruffy, and the heating pipes were exposed, making them an H&S risk, in my opinion, as they were hot to the touch. "Visited mid January when facilities were not all open and staffing was minimal eg the receptionist also doubled up as the bar person. However we had a very relaxing stay at this quiet time of year and all the staff were polite and very helpful. For what we paid for a superior room we were very pleased. "Not a lot of parking so get there early. Also no kids meals in the restaurant plus the road is so noisy. We were room 511. I didnt see any security and a group of young lads were topless. Lots of people infront of the entrance smoking. I was disappointed overall but the hotel is clean, in good order and the breakfast was good. "

"The stay was to celebrate my partner Carol's 60th birthday. We really enjoyed our two day stay. The weather outside was atrocious but our room & facilities inside the hotel were wonderful.
