"Loved the location, it is just steps from the Royal Mile and lots of attractions. The Tolbooth Tavern nearby was a great find. The building itself is really good as well. There is are lot of stairs, but also a lot of space which was very good for our famiy stay. The building does need some updates (ie carpet on stairs looks dingy, and there are banged up walls in the stairway is likely from lots of travellers). "Exceptional hotel that has everything you need. Great location right in city centre. Rooms were spotlessly clean and well equiped. One of the things I like is that the rooms have a small fridge in the wardrop .. makes such a difference. Parking is available at a discounted rate at Q park car park right next door to hotel. Breakfast was terrific with great choices. No negatives with this hotel."
