"Very pleased with our visit to Ascot House. The owner was very friendly and informative. The room was lovely,the bed and bedding excellent and the bathroom was superb. The breakfast each day was very tasty and the food cooked to order. The location was also excellent. Just over 10 minutes walk into York and a bus stop just down the road. Car park at Ascot House available but sometimes full. However parking allowed on side road so no problem. "

"Property was perfect for the price. Clean and welcoming. Shower was nice and the bed was comfortable. I was able to get in touch with the management on arrival. Tap in the ensuite was cold and despite running for a while, did not produce hot water. The building was subject to some noise pollution and you could clearly hear other guests in other rooms. Other than that, I would book again."
